about..

Jason Baxter is a professional award winning photographer and author based in Edinburgh, having worked in the media for over 25 years.

A belief in providing creative imagery that evokes feeling, serenity and the pure beauty of nature. Going to the greatest of lengths to achieve and find the ultimate picture; venturing out into the landscape on remote mountainsides in temperatures of -35 deg in the depths of winter in near Arctic conditions.

This enthusiasm has won me clients such as BAA, Historic Scotland, The National Trust for Scotland and for the EU documenting Outdoor Tourism projects in IRE.

My first book published by Birlin in 2004 ‘Edinburgh - A New Perspective’ was used by Edinburgh City Council as the civic gift of choice over 4 years for all visiting dignitaries.

This passion and commitment to my art now see’s me working with Gleneagles Hotel in rural Perthshire providing exclusive and unique photography experiences for VIP guests, one such guest was the film director Frank Darabont (dir. Shawshank Redemption) where I took him to spend a day in the Glencoe Valley discussing and enjoying the finer arts of Landscape Photography..
